Interventional Radiology (IR) is dedicated to the image-guided, minimally invasive techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions without surgery. Interventional Radiology (IR) offers a very precise and targeted treatment option to complex and sometimes life-threatening diseases and conditions in every subspeciality of medical science. Interventional Radiology (IR) is one of the biggest advances in medical practice, offering treatments with less risk, less pain, shorter recovery time and hospital stay. Many conditions that once required surgery can be treated less invasively by Interventional Radiologist under local anesthesia or conscious sedation. The objective of Interventional Radiology (IR) is to minimize risk to the patient and provide better health care facility.
